Polyclonal Antiserum to C4a Protein
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
A rabbit antiserum raised against human complement C4a protein.
C4a is a protein fragment from the cleavage of complement protein C4, along with C4b. C4a is the weakest of the anaphylatoxins, compared to C3a and C5a, however, it does play a role in bringing about vascular permeability changes, the induction of smooth muscle contraction and the release of histamine from mast cells and basophils.
Quidel's polyclonal antiserum to C4a can been used in a variety of immunochemical techniques including RID, EIA, Ouchterlony. Please contact Quidel Technical Support for further information.
