Community Involvement and Charitable Giving

Quidel Corporation is committed to improved healthcare through better diagnosis of disease around the world. We accomplish this by listening to our internal and external customers and translating their needs into innovative solutions. This stands true both when discovering and creating products and when making a difference in the communities in which we live and work.

Quidel supports many worthwhile charities through our employee programs that recognize the passion and priorities of our employees through Matching Gifts and our Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP). Through these programs, non-profit organizations may receive a corporate match or a gift when employees document the gifts, time, and talent they are contributing to a qualifying 501(c)(3) organization.  In addition, our employee giving committees consider proposals presented by their colleagues and make grants on a quarterly basis.

We are not currently accepting unsolicited proposals directly from charitable organizations.

Quidel's corporate giving programs provide a wide range of support to non-profit organizations but are not designed to benefit or provide funding for:

  • Research projects
  • Endowments
  • Travel
  • Individuals
  • Social, labor, veterans, alumni, or fraternal organizations serving a limited constituency
  • Political causes, candidates, or legislative lobbying efforts
  • Religious organizations for religious purposes
  • Annual membership or affiliation campaigns
  • Benefits, dinners, galas, and special fundraising events
  • Sponsorship events and the purchase of corporate tables
  • Recreational/sporting events or athletic associations
