QuickVue+ Infectious Mononucleosis

The QuickVue+ Infectious Mononucleosis test is designed to detect the IgM heterophile antibodies in serum, plasma or whole blood. QuickVue+ Infectious Mononucleosis is a rapid, sensitive immunoassay for the detection of IgM heterophile antibodies in acute phase infections. The QuickVue+ Infectious Mononucleosis assay utilizes an extract of bovine erythrocytes which give a greater sensitivity and specificity than similar extracts prepared from sheep and horse erythrocytes.

Clearly distinguishable +/- endpoint and flexible specimen collection options make testing easy for anyone in your office or lab. A Test Complete indicator appears in about 5 minutes to let you know when the test can be read. Overall accuracy of the test is >99%, with both sensitivity and specificity of >99% when compared to EIA and >98% when compared to slide hemagglutination. The built-in controls satisfy CLIA requirements for daily QC. The 20 test kit contains positive and negative external controls and stores at room temperature.
